Discover hidden talents at the Yang Sing
When I was very little we used to put a table tennis net across our dining room table and my sister and I would try and bat a ping pong ball back and forth. I’ve not played since.
So understandably, when we went to the first Yang Sing monthly Ping Pong Cha evening, I was expecting to be rubbish. Turns out I’m a rather talented ping pong player. Something which took my husband Tris by surprise!
When they said that the Olympics would inspire a generation – they never said which generation that would be. Rio 2016 here I come!
Find your inner ping pong Princess at Ping Pong Cha – first Thursday of the month in the 2nd and 3rd floor function rooms at the Yang Sing.
Ping Pong, Dim Sum, Yang Sing …… try saying that quickly. It’s a real tongue twister!
My top tip is – don’t wear a short skirt because you’re going to be bending down a lot to pick up errant balls, and your cleavage is a great place to store spare ammunition whilst playing!
Alternatively you could wait for one of the Ping Pong Cha team to scoop the balls up from the floor with their special scooper upper and deposit them in an ice bucket by the side of your table!
I haven’t laughed so much in ages. It’s a great idea for a date night with a difference, or book in advance with a group of friends for some top fun.
The next Ping Pong Cha is on Thursday 5th September 2013 – and if you want to win a VIP package then there’s a caption competition here.
