Fine jewellers since 1937
I love Steven Stone Jewellers! I say that not only because I love my beautiful Steven Stone engagement ring, but because of the support he’s given to local Manchester charities I’ve worked with over the years. It’s an absolute pleasure to welcome him onto the blog.
Steven Stone Jewellers is a third generation family run jewellers first established in 1937.
Steven Stone retails and manufactures high quality diamond jewellery, usually for prices 50% less than the high street.
Located in Hale, they specialise in GIA (Gemological Institute of America) certificated diamonds and jewellery manufacturing:
- engagement rings
- wedding rings and eternity rings
- bespoke jewellery
- re-modelling old pieces
In 1937 Steven’s father, Al Stone started the business with his brother Henry Stone as buyers of bullion specialising in Victorian and second hand jewellery.
Steven joined the business when he was 16 years and became an expert in diamonds, which he has passed down to his son Zack. He supplied fine diamond jewellery to well known independent high street jewellers and later opened a retail shop in Whitefield Manchester, which in 2008 moved to Hale.
Steven’s son Zack, joined in 2005 with the vision to expand the business into the digital era creating a well designed e-commerce website specialising in selling quality GIA diamond engagement rings at affordable prices. Zack has also completed a GIA diamond graduate course.
Steven’s younger son Max joined the company in 2007. He is the creative in the company and designs all the jewellery pieces on the site. He is also an expert at creating unique bespoke pieces for customers and re-styling customers old jewellery and gem stones into one of a kind new pieces.
As well as the new e-commerce website, Zack has invested in the finest, cutting edge machinery that makes Steven Stone stand out from other fine jewellers. The machinery consists of a 3d wax printing prototype machine and a state of the art casting machine, making Steven Stone one of the only jewellers based in the UK that manufactures all jewellery in-house from start to finish.
You can see how it’s done in this video.
If you want a special piece of jewellery – which trust me gets noticed, then pay Steven Stone Jewellers a visit. They truly are a real Manchester gem!
